Missional: We take seriously the command of Jesus, our Saviour and Lord, to spread the Gospel of forgiveness, love, and salvation to all the earth, but especially in our home city of Medicine Hat and area, and we encourage our members to be intentional about sharing the Good News in word and action (cf. Matthew 7:12; Matthew 28:19-20; John 13:34-35).
Lutheran: We continue to boldly preach, teach, and confess the truth of the Holy Scriptures, and we believe that those same Scriptures are rightly exposited in the Lutheran Confessions. This means we believe that the Word—written, recited, and proclaimed—along with the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, truly work saving faith in Jesus (cf. Mark 16:16; John 6:25-59; Romans 6; Romans 10:5-17; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29; Ephesians 2:1-10; Titus 3:3-8; 1 Peter 3:21-22).
Spirit-led: We eagerly seek the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit of God, and we desire to see the fruit and gifts of that same Spirit made manifest in us and our church (cf. John 14:15-27; John 16:12-15; Romans 8; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; 1 Corinthians 12; Galatians 5:13-26).
