In this study, held every second and fourth Wednesday at 1pm in the Christian Education room, we will be diving into the foundational theological texts of the Lutheran Church as found in The Book of Concord. These texts serve as a sort of theological “constitution” for Lutheran churches and their pastors, as such they are not necessarily the easiest to read. They also contain some polemical language from the Reformation era, much of which was directed toward issues that are no longer applicable, such as paid indulgences. However, for those willing to explore these texts in depth, great insights are available as well as a greater understanding and appreciation of the solid Biblical basis and continuity with the early Church offered by our Lutheran theological heritage. So come, and dive deep with Pastor Roland into The Book of Concord!
